Runes/Insignias?
I was wondering what's a good set of runes and insignias to use on a warrior armor.
I have a minor axe/swordsmanship (depends on the weapon I'm using) and a Major Vigor with me all the time. Any other than that, what should I use to take full advantage of it's power?
I've been running with full rune of vitea and a survivor's insignia for the chest and legs pieces, and everywhere else, a radiant insignia. Take it it's not the best for a warrior, so any advices?
Thanks.

Minor Str is good, clarity can also be good. Survivor runes, stonefist on hands. Radiants if you feel you need more energy but only use as many as you need.

The standard setup seems to be:
Weapon Helm: Survivor sig, Minor Weapon rune
Chest: Survivor sig, best Vigor rune you find/can afford
Gloves: Stonefist sig, Minor Strength rune
Leggings: Survivor sig, Rune of Clarity (reduces Blind/Weakness by 20%)
Boots: Survivor sig, Rune of Vitae/Rune of Restoration (reduces Cripple/Bleeding by 20%)
Keep different Helms for each Weapon you choose to use for easy swapping, as well as a Strength Helm with Survivor sig, Minor Strength and Gloves with Stonefist sig and Rune of Vitae for when you want to run a Scythe Warrior.

Since I carry a *lot* of armor sets I choose to put Superior Vigor Runes on something that used on every set, generally my fissure boots as I use them on all of my gear setups.
Overall though, what he said is accurate. 4x Survivor, 1x Stonefist, Sup Vigor, Clariy, Vitae/Restoration (I prefer restoration as I PvP a lot), minor strength and your minor weapon rune on the helm (this is always where it should be placed).

What about Absorption runes? Am I right in guessing they aren't mentioned here because the reduction in damage isn't all that spiffy and not worth taking up a slot?

Absorption runes reduce physical damage only. If you're having trouble with physical damage, you're doing something wrong.

Back before it got nerfed, Absorption used to reduce ALL damage by -1 to -3; this included damage reduction on Shields, and at that point, Knight's/Ascalon (Charr Hide) Armor as well (this was back in the Prophecies / Factions only days). So theoretically, a Warrior with a Sup Absorption Rune, a -2 Stance/-2 Enchanted Shield, and Ascalon/Knight's Armor had -10 damage reduction from all sources, but had to sacrifice max HP to do so.
There was a bug that allowed you to wear 1 piece of either the Ascalon (Charr Hide) or Knight's (Templar) Armor and you still got the damage reduction globally, as well, even though it clearly stated that Armor is hit by location, the reduction still worked. For that reason, a lot of old school players had a full armor set with either the Charr Helm (cuz wearing a dead head on your head as armor shows that you are a badass) or Charr/Knights boots (the way I went, because I didn't really like the Charr Helm, no +1 stacking for my weapon FTL).
They fixed (nerfed in case of reduction only vs. physical - I still want to Eviscerate the dev team for that shit) the absorption in one update, changing the Knight's/Ascalon exploit and turning Absorption into vs. physical dmg absorption in one update. The next day, Superior Absorption Runes, which had NEVER gone below 60k (that I had seen) were selling at the Rune Trader for 100g.
The single Knight's/Ascalon armor piece exploit needed to be fixed, but I have been pissed @ ANet for the change of Absorption from all dmg to physical damage only since that day. Way to make something amazing almost useless (almost because Absorption/Reduction can still be used to farm mobs that only deal physical damage).
